With globalization, the world seemed to exist in our grasp. World becomes narrower and closer to us. Globalization makes states compete, because integrating globalization of trade, technology, investment, and production factors such as labor and capital. Globalization become frequent in talking, a lot of people who argue that globalization has a negative impact on society (like the example in the previous article about the cultural shift), but there is also an opinion otherwise. To be clear, this article contains about the advantages and disadvantages of globalization for the world.
ADVANTAGE
a) Education
In terms of education, globalization helped in the spread of education. With a variety of educational institutions around the world, a person can get out of the country of origin to get a better learning opportunities elsewhere. Developing countries are the most in the country profitable.
b) Field Work
Globalization is considered as one of the advantages that should lead to the expansion of employment opportunities. Foreign companies are moving towards developing countries can obtain employment. It is clearly open employment and income for the people in the host country.
c) Quality of Products
The occurrence of international trade has led to intense competition in the market. Quality products be improved so as to maintain the sales of goods. Low quality can affect customer satisfaction.
d) Cheap Price
Globalization has brought a very severe competition. The many varied products, manufacturers maintain sales at a price competitive products. It is possible that every customer can switch to other manufacturers if the price is expensive. Therefore, at an affordable price has benefits for consumers.
e) Capital
Capital is the backbone of the economy that is essential for the proper functioning of the economy. Many large foreign companies that invest in developing countries by setting up industrial units outside their country of origin. This is the mean by which foreign investment helps in improving economic growth in host countries.
f) Communication
Communication technology plays an important role in making the country closer to each other in terms of communication. Any information can be easily accessed from almost every corner of the world. Circulation of information can occur in a matter of seconds. Internet has affected the global economy, thus providing direct access to information and production.
g) Transportation
Transport is the wheel of any business organization, connectivity to various parts of the world is a serious problem. With various types of transport available, it can easily deliver the products to customers located in every part of the world with efficient and fast.
h) International trade
Purchase and sale of a commodity rather than just two transactions involved in international trade. International trade has expanded its horizons with the help process of business outsourcing

Advantage and Disadvantage Globalization
ADVANTAGE
a) Education
In terms of education, globalization helped in the spread of education. With a variety of educational institutions around the world, a person can get out of the country of origin to get a better learning opportunities elsewhere. Developing countries are the most in the country profitable.

DISADVANTAGE
a) Health Problems
Globalization has given rise to health risks and provide new threats and challenges to the epidemic. A very familiar example is HIV and AIDS. This virus has spread like wildfire to countries in the world in a short time. The food is transported to the State, it is a matter of concern. Different food standard regulations of each country may pose a hazard to health. A case in point is when Indomie banned from Taiwan, Hong Kong and America.
b) Culture
Conventionally, the people of a particular country still follow the culture and traditions of a bygone era. With the number of people moving in and out of a country, the culture will follow. People may adapt to other cultures and tend to forget their own culture. This can lead to cultural conflict.
c) Uneven Distribution
It can be said the rich get richer and the poor poorer . In a real sense , globalization has not been able to reduce poverty . Therefore, the social gap between the rich and poor .
d) Environmental Damage
Industrial revolution has changed the economic outlook . Industries that use natural resources burden on the environment . Dwindling natural resources and on the verge of extinction . This has led to an imbalance in the environment that have an impact on the climate in which natural disasters .
e) Disparity
Although globalization has opened wider market economy and jobs , there are still differences in economic development . Foreign companies are moving to developing countries get cheap labor while the host country produces less revenue , and most of the profits into the hands of foreign companies to make huge income gap between developed and developing countries .
Globalization has its advantages and disadvantages as a coin has two sides .
Globalization is a special phenomenon in human civilization that moves continuously in a global society. The presence of information technology and communications technologies accelerate the globalization process. Globalization touches all the important aspects of globalization life. In globalization word contains a definition be the loss of one situation where a variety of movement of goods and services between countries around the world can move freely and openly in the trade. And with the opening of one state against another, which makes not only goods and services, but also technology, consumption patterns, education, cultural and others. moreover, in our globalization nowadays so many social media that influence in our daily activity so from what has been described above, globalization tends to give a positive or negative impact?...

Indonesian culture shift because Globalization
The current wave of globalization has led to an influence on the development of the culture of Indonesia. Rapid flow of information by telecommunication actually causes a tendency that leads to the dissipation of means-value cultural preservation. Indonesian culture formerly amicable, mutual cooperation,'s manners changed with culture slang and funky.
Most of today's younger generation no longer has an interest in the arts area. Art is Indonesian assets. As the young shoots should preserve our cultural arts for future grandchildren. Though the culture of the area, if managed properly but can be cultural tourism generate income for both central and local government, may also be a promising area of work for the community around it.
The other thing is the effect of globalization is the use of Indonesian is good and right (language is also one of the nation's culture). It is not unusual in Indonesia to refer to the second person singular with Mr., Mrs., Mr., Mrs., sister, you compared to you or you as a value judgment or taste. Now there is a trend among young people who prefer to use Indonesian Jakarta dialect as my mention of the word gue (I) and lu (you).
Indonesian teen dress styles that were once upheld the norms of decency has changed with the times. There is a tendency for young women in big cities wear tight skimpy clothes and consuming a particular body part. This shared culture of scantily clad films and foreign magazines are transformed into Indonesian soap opera. Rapid flow of information, which is also characterized by the presence of the Internet, participating 'donate' to change the way we dress.
From the explanation of and examples above, it is clear that globalization has a negative impact on cultural preservation. Thomas Fridman in his book The Lexus and The Olivetree (2000) states that "the threat of globalization today is someone globalization". This means that in the globalization system itself holds the potential destruction. Countries that do not follow the rhythm of globalization put in the category of the State 'primitive' or 'out of date'. Therefore, each country vying for the transfer of science and technology from Western countries.
The Conclusion is the influence of globalization on the one hand turned out to cause a negative impact to the Indonesian culture. Norms contained in the Indonesian culture slowly began to fade. Incessant rush of technology with intrinsic values imposed therein, has raised the issue of globalization.
For people who are trying to develop the traditional art become part of modern life, it will continue to modify the art forms of the past are still patterned to be something that can be consumed by modern society. Actually art is beautiful and expensive. Art is the wealth of Indonesia which is invaluable and has no access to foreign nations. Therefore, as the young generation, the heir to the nation's culture, art should preserve our culture for the future of our children and grandchildren.
